The thing is hexbear is pretty diverse. A lot of people here don’t watch Hasan or know a lot about him, his history, his dog’s history, or his relationship with other streamers, etc. All we have to go off of is the clipped visual evidence, which is just a clip of him reaching off-screen and the dog yelping and the low quality picture of the collar; and the innate dislike for streamers, gamers, Dem Socs, and Americans lol. Lots of people use training collars, too, and there’s a variety of designs for both training/e-collars and air tag collars, which makes it difficult to tell, too.
I’ve been trying to learn more context myself through things like this thread to help me decide if I should continue watching his clips when he pops up on my YouTube or not. My partner absolutely loves dogs and has even heard the story now, so if I can’t disprove he did it then she’ll look at me with skepticism and judgment every time he pops up.
Tbh, it’s one thing I like about this place. The skepticism sucks sometimes and can lead to undue pessimism, but there’s less also parasocial attachment to politicians and famous people, so you also don’t have reflexive defensiveness over them when they do something bad, unlike what I see in liberal or conservative spaces.
Look, I’m gonna be real with you, if you genuinely hold any doubt about whether Hasan treats Kaya well, then pedos and zionists like Destiny and Ethan succeeded in this slander operation
Because that’s what this is, it’s a targeted slander campaign by Ethan Klein and Destiny, the bogus claim that he shocked his dog originated yesterday in the Ethan Klein subreddit, then pushed on r/LSF the Destiny cult subreddit and further picked up by racist trolls like xqc
This man is the face of the modern American left and if you’re duped this easily about something so obviously disprovable, then they’re gonna trick you again in the future
If my partner brought it up, then even the normies know about it, so unfortunately I think they have made a temporary victory with this one. But I think his good character will come out in the end. Cancel culture doesn’t seem to really stick nowadays for people who do deserve it so I doubt it will for someone who doesn’t.
It’s unrealistic to think I won’t be tricked again in the future but as long as I change my mind as new evidence comes out, I think it’s fine. And I think most people do that, so think he’ll be fine, too. They’ve hit him with other stuff before that have slid off, like that he’s antisemitic or supports Islamic terrorists or whatever.
