the black fucking death happened and my population went from almost 5.4 million to 1.5 million and it’s still fucking dropping by 70k per week. This is one of the most punishing game events I’ve ever seen in something like this, what the fuck, I even had hospitals built in all my fucking cities so what the fuck paradox? christ

Personally I’m disappointed at the lack of representation of various north american peoples. The California-pnw region should have WAY more sops if not playable countries. Their languages were completely oversimplified. The lack of east coast tribal nations is certainly a choice too. It just feels like they gave up on making SOPs playable or interesting until they come up with mechanics for a new gameplay loop in a few years. This and the institution system forcing historical determinism into a very materialist game are my biggest complaints although I like the game a lot so far
