Casual UK@feddit.uk•‘Possibly the most prolific sex offender in British history’: the inside story of the Medomsley scandalEnglish
3·19 days agoAh, detailed descriptions of decades of horrific abuse, just the kind of light-hearted content I come to CasualUK for!
On Tuesday I had a vasectomy. I was allowed to sit up and watch, and it was one of the most incredibly captivating experiences of my life. The surgeon explained everything step by step, talked about why each thing was necessary etc. I was a little nervous to start with, but the moment he said “can you feel this?”, while poking my scrotum with a hot needle, and the skin sizzled and split, I burst into laughter and was fine from then on.
I’m genuinely still buzzing 2 days later, I can’t recommend it enough - although I do appreciate it’s not for everyone 😆

It’s up to the adult answering the question. I would say that alone is alone.

UK Politics@feddit.uk•Housing developers given green light to build less 'affordable' homes
1·2 months agoEveryone is always banging on about how we need more affordable housing in this country, but I never hear anyone making the case for building more unaffordable housing. Thank goodness for these maverick developers, doing what needs to be done. Not all heroes wear capes.

UK Politics@feddit.uk•Green Party demands ban on Israeli military as terror group and Balfour apology
12·2 months agoOh FFS, the problem with this government’s authoritarian bullshit is that it’s authoritarian bullshit, not that they’re using it against the wrong target.

And they were showing my favourite TV channel, CBBC.

UK Politics@feddit.uk•Court staff cover up Banksy image of judge beating a protester
2·3 months agoThey’d better be careful. Damaging the paintwork of such a valuable piece, in order to further their message (the state is not violent) meets all of the criteria for terrorism, as I understand it.

I mean it sounds like you’d just be better off ignoring it, tbh.
