Call me cynical, but I’ve seen so many of these internet “protests” over the years. I’m just so numb at this point. Nothing ever changes.

reminds me of that stick figure meme protest when google disabled youtube comments in favor of having to use their shitty social network to post them.

everyone hated it. everyone kept using the service and eventually forgot it was even a thing.

stop using that garbage if you don’t like invasive age verification. let them feel the pressure of losing their users in an entire country. no one fucking NEEDS social media.

the fact most people cave to it is ridiculous at best, considering how bad it actually is.

“Bob’s Army against Google+” is what umbrella is referring to, it’s a beautiful piece of nonsensical archeological artifact of the early 2010s…

When Google+ was eventually shut down, I think people genuinely believe it was a result of copying-pasting this ASCII art everywhere lol…

This was the same year or so when a bombing took place in France or something and Facebook had a filter option to layer the Fr*nch flag on your pfp in solidarity… while some people understandably asked why the Syrian flag was nowhere to be seen… In any case this is the extent of Western protests, no treats were harmed in the process…
