I’ve known barely functional alcoholics who’ve described themselves as “moderate” drinkers.
I mean in general, I’ve known plenty of people who were/are consuming something or doing something that’s obviously bad, or at least not good for them who’ve told me that it’s good for you in “moderate” amounts, which coincidentally happened to be whatever amount they partook in.
Also the comments on that article are 90% unverifiable personal anecdotes about how they or their relatives lived to 150 drinking 50 gallons of pure alcohol a day so it’s gotta be good for you
I kind of suspect having the kind of easygoing routine that allows for a consistent 2 martini a night experience for decades just might have had a lot more to do with the longevity than the drinking itself

So you mean “moderate drinker” works the same as “moderate right”
So if George Burns lived to 100 on one martini a day, this guy will live to be 200 right? I think I just discovered the secret to immortality!

I mean two martinis in a night isn’t extreme alcoholism lol
If you read the recommendations by health experts, that is pretty close to extreme alcoholism.
Then extreme alcoholism is not very severe
