    The pollution one blows my mind. Not only is it lower per capita than basically every western nation, but it also includes the pollution from the manufacture of pretty much everything the West uses. The cherry on top being that China is the only developed nation making a serious attempt to transition to green energy.

      It’s always incredible to see peo0le suddenly not understand what per capita means.

      Yea they pollute twice as much as us, there’s also like 4 times as many people. Meaning they pollute less than us. Way less.

      They saw one news piece about grey skies in the leadup to the 2008 Beijing Olympics and have just assumed that nothing has changed since then, perhaps because living in the U.S. in the last seventeen years has convinced them that better things aren’t possible and that no one will ever do anything about serious problems.
