This is not a meme, after Jared Leto Disney actually put fucking in this movie.
I guess Tron is actually dying fr this time and never coming back.

I’m surprised they’ve kept this franchise alive in the first place, the first movie was a flop, Legacy wasn’t that successful either and the animated show was a failure too.
The first one is pretty fun and Legacy has some cool music and visuals even if the plot is nonsense, but the only thing interesting to me about this one is the NIN soundtrack.
The thing is that Tron has potential, the first Movie was great for it’s time. Legacy was pretty good imo, the plot was not bad but the visuals and soundtrack were amazing and it has a lot of good set pieces. Tron Uprising was amazing, way too ahead of it’s time.
This one looks pretty lame in comparison since they removed the most interesting thing about Tron from the movie.
I’m not saying any of the movies were bad, just the opposite (and I enjoyed what I saw of Uprising too), it’s just that…this is Disney, you’d expect that if something doesn’t immediately make a million billion dollars, they’ll throw it in the bin and never take it out again. That’s why it’s weird that they keep resurrecting this one franchise which has never been especially popular.
edit: I need to torrent Uprising and actually watch all of it now.
Jared Leto apparently has been trying to get Tron III made for years now and he’s also a producer so ig he’s putting a lot of money into this.
Uprising is on Youtube tho, just watch it there.
Didn’t expect the reason to be ”Jared Leto is a big fan of Tron”, but I guess that explains why he’s randomly in this movie.
Too late, and since piracy is stealing I just took a bunch of money from Disney’s pockets

Is Trent reznor being involved in a soundtrack really that exciting these days? Feels like he does every second movie
He does do a lot of soundtracks, but this one is specifically billed as NIN instead of Trent Reznor (and Atticus Ross).
