leftists and their bizarre purity tests of “has not had a Nazi symbol tattooed on chest for nearly 20 years” and “did not work for fascist PMC linked to human trafficking and child SA rings” holding us back

He wasn’t always so put together

For instance, a week ago, when he still had his tattoo of a symbol so evil and associated with Nazis that there is sketch show bit about it that has become part of the modern vernacular

Social democrats in the year 2035: “Our movement can’t succeed if we abandon anyone who has made literally any mistakes ever, therefore you must support our candidate who had plastic surgery to look exactly like Adolf Hitler, you fucking champagne socialist child”

So, let’s leave aside any revolutionary socialist argument against Platner. Even from a purely democratic socialist perspective, if the candidate is compromised, has bad optics, well it’s just one candidate. The movement can survive one candidate that turns out to be a dud. This is an endemic problem with progressive and left politics in America, they put the cart before the horse and instead of building grassroots, local organizations that candidates can emerge out of, they keep betting on grassroots organizing springing forth in the wake of one David candidate coming out of the ether to inspire people by slaying the establishment Goliath.

There are two possible conclusions to draw from the fact that so many people in the US military have Nazi tats: (1) that the US military is a fascist organization, or (2) that Nazi tats are fine and apolitical actually.

Kind wild but also ultimately unsurprising that libs went with option 2.

Not only do we have to forgive the carriers of these abhorrent symbols, we need to not just embrace them, but to elevate them to the highest political positions in the land, because they have proven to have our best interests at heart, as evidenced by their bloodthirsty past

Seriously, he’s a bad candidate. Stuff like having a nazi tattoo will cost votes. Most people aren’t going to go digging through the context and people like me are gonna like that part of his background even less. Don’t try to make people weigh this stuff. The fact that it’s so controversial with everyone that learns about it is all you need to know. Fuck off.
