Nearly half of US citizens, including a fifth of Republicans, oppose Washington’s attacks on alleged “drug boats” in the Caribbean Sea and Pacific Ocean, according to a Reuters/Ipsos survey published on 10 December.
The poll – which spanned six days and included responses from 4,434 adults nationwide – found that 48 percent of US citizens oppose carrying out the illegal strikes without securing authorization from a judge or court.

The survey also recorded widespread disapproval of US President Donald Trump’s pardon of disgraced former Honduran president Juan Orlando Hernandez, a US-backed leader sentenced to over 45 years in prison in the US for drug trafficking.
Sixty-four percent of respondents opposed the pardon, while only eight percent supported it.
