Holy fuck - look at this shit. Emphasis mine.

At least 30 officers wearing tactical gear and gas masks could be seen positioned across the street from a Home Depot in Paramount, south of downtown Los Angeles.

It wasn’t immediately clear who the officers work for or why they were there.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass saying the city “will not stand” for the raids.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said it was on scene “to assist with keeping the peace but not get involved with any detentions or arrests.”

“Not standing for” the raids would be getting your cops to arrest ICE agents for kidnapping.

      will not stand

Libs should not be a allowed to use the word stand unless it’s in the 0.3% of cases where they mean it.

What a weird color scheme. It makes me strongly think of sci-fi and much less strongly wild of speculative fiction. If I had no idea what the book was - ~37th on my list would be it’s a book by a self-righteous, self-serving worse-than-useless asshole dem senator.

It turns out that the NBC New link is poop. My Bluesky feed which is nothing special is so much better. I only follow ~100 people on Bluesky but today I enabled “show reposts” in my feed which was key.

Legacy media whines on and on about how people don’t pay attention to them. Read the fucking room. For an absolutely minimal expenditure of time, money, and effort they could use citizen journos who are covering the stuff anyway. I know, I know - they’ll never do that because they want to totally control the narrative. It was a purely theoretical suggestion.
