ok but… If you lead a country whose primary export is oil and you don’t use the strait don’t you always think its ok for it to get closed down?
Do you really think Maduro’s using this terrible situation to be an opportunist?
That is the opposite of what I am saying. I am saying that no matter what the situation, Maduro would be happy if oil prices rose especially if that rise came from Saudi exports being blocked.
Sorry, but that sounds pretty cynical to me right now. I’m confident Maduro cares a hell of a lot more about anti-imperialism and Palestinian and Iranian lives. I think that’s where this is coming from.
