1. School shootings disproportionately affect racialized, disabled or otherwise marginalized students.
2. The AR-15 used in the Uvalde shooting is capable of decapitating and rending limbs, described as having a similar “pulverizing” effect on a child’s body as a hand grenade. This left many of the victims of the shooting unrecognizable.
