Looks like they will continue to focus their military pressure on Israel and put the economic pressure on the EU. If the EU wants to back their colonial project they will pay a price for it.

Which countries/regions would be hit hardest by this? Or is it more of a global shock?

The EU will be the most affected. The US is a big oil producer, and they’re able to get oil from Canada as well. China and the rest of Asia can get oil from Russia, and there’s also rail going from Iran to China now. The EU is the main region that relies on this route and doesn’t have a clear alternative.

Western countries watching literally the rest of the planet not give a damn what happens to us (and by us I mean primarily Western Europe freezing into popsicles next winter when they struggle to buy fuel) and just pivoting easily to Russia and China:

“Are we in the wrong? Could we really be making a mistake?”

“No, it’s the world that’s wrong!”

Here’s hoping Europe actually tastes its own medicine for once this time, if only for at least a second.

Okay so I tried accessing this site with several IPs using my VPN and I got this:

Tried Murica, Iraq, Greece, Russia, Yemen… same thing.

Archive.is seems to do it. https://archive.is/dBTcG

I was able to get in after clicking the Cloudflare captcha, from my normal Polish IP

They probably blocked all known VPN addresses.

That’s what I would have assumed except for the creepy “Avengers Protocol Initiated” thing. Because it’s not just Americans and Israelis using VPNs.

It’s a lot easier to block all VPNs then block only select countries on VPNs, since you know, that’s what VPNs are good for, getting around region blocks.

Rules:

-- PLEASE KEEP POST TITLES INFORMATIVE --

-- Overly editorialized titles, particularly if they link to opinion pieces, may get your post removed. --

-- All posts must include a link to their source. Screenshots are fine IF you include the link in the post body. --

-- If you are citing a twitter post as news please include not just the twitter.com in your links but also nitter.net (or another Nitter instance). There is also a Firefox extension that can redirect Twitter links to a Nitter instance: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/libredirect/ or archive them as you would any other reactionary source using e.g. https://archive.today/ . Twitter screenshots still need to be sourced or they will be removed --
