Feeling unsafe and being unsafe are very different things. Im glad 400k of his neighbors are smart enough to know that. Cause its something you learn as a fucking toddler usually.

As a white-passing brown person in the USA, I feel unsafe MOST OF THE FUCKING TIME

I never know when someone is going to drop some nuclear level racism in my vicinity because they think I’m white

And I have had several people react very aggressively when I’ve confronted them on their bigotry

I might be a hefty strong guy, but I also know all it takes is one person to end me, whether directly or indirectly

So I’d say my fear is actually justified

Im in my mid 30s and am still dependant on my folks helping with rent and stuff. Luckily they get that its absolutely fucked out here now and they got in at the last moment the getting was good. My mom only ever had one job her entire life, she retired at 58 from a job she started at 19. Basically right after she became crucial the place got sold and the new owner was absolutely fucked without her and she got treated really fucking well. My dad got a sick union gig at the post office driv8ng a forklift around and ended things getting $30/hrs 8 weeks paid vacation, 2 weeks ‘personal’ days for calling in, full benefits a sweet deal for driving a forklift around. Neither have more education or anything like that. I did nothing different, its just all fucked now and theyre aware, they don’t like it, they know I don’t like it either but they don’t blame me.
