I was surprised at how difficult it was to find an up-to-date list of all the targets of the BDS Boycott. The pinned post on the official bds movement Instagram is now outdated. And searching for the list leads to outdated links and apps that don’t direct you towards a clear and concise list. More companies have been added to the list. Reebok and Microsoft (which own Xbox) are now boycott targets. Please remember that the BDS boycott works due to it targeting a handful of companies. It is up to you whether you want to target those not on the list.
Let me know if I have missed a company and I will be sure to edit this post and add them to the list.
Does anyone know what happened w/ Adidas? I’ve been avoiding them for years but they’re not a priority target anymore?
They’ve been taken off the list after they withdrew as a sponsor for the Israeli Football Association - BDS got the result they wanted. It was the same reason that Puma used to be on the list. Reebok now has the contract with the Israeli Football Association which is why they are a priority target now.
Ah, thank you. I’ll still probably avoid but it’s good to know what’s changed.
The Boycat app has been very helpful for questions like this.
The problem with the Boycat app is that it goes too far and lists EVERY single company (which is not a problem if you want to make sure you’re not supporting genocide). However, this ends up being overwhelming for the average person. The point of the BDS movement is to have material gain through collective action via targeted boycotts. That’s why the list is so small.
You can change what level of support you offer in the app. Level 2 is what it defaults to, but you can reduce it level one which is just strict BDS level.
Same here but for Starbucks. Former CEO and major shareholder Howard Shultz finances Zionism.
As far as I know, Starbucks has never been on the list. It was just a grassroots campaign that got a lot of attention and was never fully endorsed by BDS.
