Want to boost your mud crab catch? Try placing your pots in tidal channels near large areas of mangroves or saltmarsh.

During high tide, mud crabs move up into these shallow, vegetated flats to feed and dig. As the tide goes out, they return to deeper water through channels – making these spots ideal for your pots. You’ll have even better luck during bigger tidal movements when crabs are more active. Set your pots where the water drains off the flats, and you’ll be right in their path.

What the fuck is this post?! Leave the damn mud crabs alone! Both from a vegan perspective and an environmental perspective. Don’t catch mudcrabs, you fucking ghoul, just leave them the fuck alone
