Think of the difference between wanking and gooning like the difference between someone who rides a bike casually and someone who rides a bike as a hobby. If you’re really into riding bikes you get like the bike shorts, fancy helmet, shoes, lights, bells, fancy expensive bike, you ride you bike for hours not as a commute or to reach a destination but because you like bicycling. And then some people just have like a regular bike with no special outfits and accoutrement and maybe they just ride around the neighborhood for a little exercise. Gooning is like turning out the lights, multiple screens, lube, poppers, alcohol, weed, hour plus long sessions, multiple videos playing at once, hypnotic voice overs, all kinds of “extra” stuff. To put it bluntly if I’m horny and just want to finish and it takes like a couple minutes at most, that’s not gooning. If I am locked up in my room for 2 hours getting crossfaded, flipping through dozens of videos, and edging a bunch of times, that’s gooning.
