I love the insecurity of having a Latin motto –which is also generic and dumb AF– and immediately translating it because you know a large part of your base will feel alienated from not understanding said Latin motto. You don’t get to have elitism and populism at the same time, this is so silly.

Either they’re Marxists or PhD level trained historians. The field pretty much agrees that the base premises of historical materialism are the right tools for analysis.
