honestly, incredibly sober approach: not falling for the baseless naive excitement around Mamdani, but also not falling into the leftism perspective of minimizing it completely and disregarding it as an irrelevant event. plus, i think his criticisms levied towards China and Vietnam are very fair, and i tend to agree with his perspective, especially when he stresses the fact that, despite China’s planning being overall very long term, this is a highly time sensitive issue; people in Palestine cannot afford decades.
