You’re at best very tangential to my point. I’m not disputing that COVID happened. Just that flu probably continued at some level, whereas the stats disagree. I can only conclude that all flu of late is, in fact, COVID; IANA specialist D.

Anything that attacks the respiratory system long term sucks. Breathing has been quite helpful to me during my life. YMMV.

Very keen on COVID here. All cases of flu disappeared during COVID years, and the COVID I had was far less debilitating than flu I have had.

Yesterday I saw the article about VW cars which need a subscription to use the built-in capabilities. The car you bought doesn’t belong to you.

It’s late in the day. Perplexity Set itself up as a search engine with AI. Don’t know whose index they use.

I rarely use a search engine anymore directly. I used to use Startpage which is/was a proxy for Google. And everybody knows how useful Google’s results are these days.

So I use Perplexity for search.

I don’t yet, but it’s getting closer.

One reason is on me. I should choose a different instance because mine is the other side of the world from me! Different vibe. I probably haven’t moved because I enjoy experiencing local views which oppose and align with my own. Conversely, In the community context, I follow “fuck_ai” and some of the pro-AI communities because it’s important to me to see both sides of this revolution develop.

The second is that quite a few of the Reddit communities have limited Lemmy presence with significant momentum. That will hopefully change with time and other platforms willing.

On the flip side, I’ve found that there are many communities which have momentum which I joined on Lemmy for fun that I haven’t investigated as to whether they exist in Reddit. My interests are eclectic and transient sometimes. Perhaps my sense of wonder will wilt one day (that alliteration sounded better in my head; damn!).

Labour have only been on power a year; although one could argue they were in power as HM loyal opposition.

It’s taken decades to get into this mess. They were all shit.

Politicians have to stop being afraid of the polls. Have some fucking conviction.

There’s a reason we can’t have the triple lock anymore. It’s because politicians and leaders failed for the last thirty years.

Refused to guarantee a triple lock isn’t the same explaining why we can’t have one. You can’t argue with facts, dipshit interviewers have nowhere to go with a straight answer.
