What the cartoon guy on Twitter is failing to elucidate is that yes, Americans like your parents do need to be decoupled from the global asset market. China has a fundamentally different property system from the United States. When you’re buying into home ownership, you’re buying into a global asset market where the Cosmopolitan bourgeoisie puts its money.
