We all probably know Allen Dulles was a Nazi sympathizer.

I often think about that. According to what I remember hearing or reading from Aaron Good, FDR would have charged Dulles with treason after the war. Dulles was literally helping Nazi leadership escape Germany towards the end of the war. Except that of course he died before then, and his nominally socdem VP Henry Wallace had been forced off the ballot for the 1944 election in favour of the more anti-communist and pro-capital Harry Truman. Truman would be convinced to start the CIA and give them the mission to do whatever they want in service of Wall Street, and the Dulleses went into history not as traitors and Nazi collaborators but as accomplished statesmen crucial to the foundations of the empire as we learned to know it since.

People with lots of money benefit from high interest rates, and they’re an important weapon in class warfare. Higher interest rates push more people into accepting worse labour conditons.

They’ll just keep expecing you to pay US taxes on your non-US income and assets, but if it comes down to it withhold privileges only afforded to citizens.

Trump doesn’t need to do anything, US citizenship is automatically revoked when a person becomes an employee or official of another state.

Even so, the person in question needs to submit the paperwork and pay the $2300 fee for loss of citizenship.

Between medical bills and potentially needing a care home or home assistance later on, that amount can disappear quick. If you own your home, which many in the retiring generation still do, you also have taxes, upkeep, and maybe even the rest of a mortgage to pay off as well.

Some US based financial advisors recommend having $1.5M or more saved to retire.

Retirement is for the propertied class.
