“stop grooming kids, just ask them about their junk like a normal person”
Recently been playing Caves of Qud. Game has neopronouns (or non-standard ones, not exactly sure what bucket each would go in) that should destroy my cishet mind. It’d definitely destroy the average gamer’s mind.
But I’m built different and I was geekily reading about them on their wiki. I even learned that one NPC was based on a notable computer scientist (Alexia Massalin) that I hadn’t heard of and got some extra reading added to my list. They even have some npcs that have some code to generate new ones (that is currently off, there is a lot of WIP stuff turned off, and I imagine “semi-random genders” could be bad in some cases).
Most polite conversations end in “Live and drink, friend”. The game automatically corrects “friend” to specific other cases for certain “genders”. Quotes because it includes pluralization. As in, they have a plural gender, but also the countability of the person is encased in gender for computation.
Masc/Fem/Neuter, etc are resolved to friend, but some are different. I swear I saw something like “Live and drink, plant friend.” when talking to a plant person. It correctly uses another species genders (doe/buck, they’re goat-like). Its great. And I’m a simple cishet guy. It doesn’t hurt me, its cool. I can’t imagine think about this negatively or as a threat. Even when I was a chud-brain, it never felt that pressing…
Basically, Live and drink, friends.
different languages communicate the same concepts differently lmao
Pokemon went woke and started doing gender ideology in the original Pokemon Crystal game.
There ARE NO GENDERS, there ARE NO SEXES. WOKE IS OVER.
“Saying the words pronoun is literally sexual harassment!”
I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:
Their forcing you to take pronouns, our letting you choose male/female
I’ve never encountered the “choose sex” option in Harvest Moon, but it definitely doesn’t sound very E rated.
There should be a “no, thank you” option
s*x
I took a modern algebra course in college and now this just reads like “s star x” as if we’re defining a group or a ring or some shit.
