Because we are so far away from the world these people operate in it’s hard for us to see it unless it blows up into a major scandal like JFK, Watergate, BCCI, Franklin Credit Scandal, or Iran-Contra. We don’t learn about these events because the US government is doing wholesome chungus disclosure and keeping the people informed/seeking justice, we learn about it because it’s being used by one faction to blow up the spot of another.
