Why even pretend? If you consistently shill for the dems and nurture an intellectually homogenous dem-voting demographic, is it not natural that an interest group whose goals you are achieving would want to financially support you (furthering their control of your demographic, but also just their interests in general)?
I’m not sure what sponsorship law is like but I can’t imagine that not broadcasting a view without disclosing that you have a financial incentive to not show that view would be illegal.
