    Cash distributed among members who then do things like bury it in their yard. No joke this is an actually good strategy. By distributing the funds, you minimize your losses if one person walks off. Decent orgs have crumbled due to a centralized treasury and a couple losers in leadership. It also means you can avoid banks and certain forms of seizure.

      During the 1984-5 UK miners strike when Thatchers govt froze the unions accounts they had to run the whole thing in cash ($1 million of which was donated by Soviet miners unions and had to be smuggled in). They kept the cash in a big pile on a kitchen table
