I do it when I’m frustrated which is very often now and for the foreseeable future. I do it enough that its making my jaw sore. Has anyone had success in stopping this? Advice? I’ve tried using a stress ball instead but I end up doing both.

You can put a sticker somewhere on your workspace as a visual reminder to relax yiur jaw.

I grind in my sleep, which is why I had to go to a specialist dentist to get a mouthguard to wear at night.

My specialist dentist was Amazon and my mouthguard was $10. I chew through them maybe once a year but it’s a hell of a lot less than my real dentist wanted to charge me.

My issue is that on top of the grinding, my upper and lower jaw don’t quite align properly. So it’s grinding compounded by my lower jaw pushing out to the side. An off the shelf mouthguard won’t fix that for me so I need a custom one that makes my jaw sit straight.

I got a night guard from the dentist, almost $200 after insurance, tore a hole into it already and I wore it less than a month.
