I do it when I’m frustrated which is very often now and for the foreseeable future. I do it enough that its making my jaw sore. Has anyone had success in stopping this? Advice? I’ve tried using a stress ball instead but I end up doing both.
You can look up exercises for your jaw muscles, something about placing your tongue on the top of the roof of your mouth, and if you can afford to, see a dentist about it.

I am too dense to understand why you posted Mew, please explain the joke if there is one, but also, thank you for posting this adorable animal.
Possible cognitohazard:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mewing_(orthotropics)Fascinating cognitohazard. I’ll ask the dentist about this next time I go because I got the “tongue on the roof of the mouth” thing from them and it’s been a helpful skill to keep me from clenching but this looks ridiculous

lol
I was told this too, my response was “wow okay, just keep actively mentally attending to it 24/7, that’s totally going to happen”
You can put a sticker somewhere on your workspace as a visual reminder to relax yiur jaw.
I grind in my sleep, which is why I had to go to a specialist dentist to get a mouthguard to wear at night.
My specialist dentist was Amazon and my mouthguard was $10. I chew through them maybe once a year but it’s a hell of a lot less than my real dentist wanted to charge me.
My issue is that on top of the grinding, my upper and lower jaw don’t quite align properly. So it’s grinding compounded by my lower jaw pushing out to the side. An off the shelf mouthguard won’t fix that for me so I need a custom one that makes my jaw sit straight.
I got a night guard from the dentist, almost $200 after insurance, tore a hole into it already and I wore it less than a month.
This isn’t a serious answer, not really. But we used to use pacifiers to help mitigate teeth grinding while on molly. You’d have to live a narrow range of lifestyles for this to be anything close to good advice. But if you work from home maybe it could be useful, off the video calls.
For TMJD one of the major things to recover is to develop a relaxed jaw posture. Say “mine” - the position of your jaws and tongue at the end of the word is proper posture. Your teeth should not touch at rest.
Teeth slightly apart, tip of tongue on roof of mouth (lightly). Be mindful throughout the day and maintain that position. When you catch yourself with bad position, fix it.
Could try chewing gum when you realize you’re doing it.
I stopped grinding my teeth by starting a habit of resting my tongue between my open teeth
i heard some people will inject boxtox into their jaw to prevent grinding
