There was an insane massacre in brazil by the police, more than a hundred people killed 😐
The police are a gang.
Turns out the UFO I saw the other day was, in fact, a drone
Identification is the third worst thing that can happen to a UFO.
The first worst thing is landing in the US
The joke I was going for was
worst: ceasing to be an object (being obliterated)
2nd worst: ceasing to fly (crashing)
3rd: being identified
Was it an alien drone
If only. Then at last the possadist were right.
Hello everyone, I’m new here, I’ve been lurking around for a little bit and have finally decided to get myself a lemmygrad account. 🫡 🫡
Welcome!
hi.
Moroccan diaspora when Palestine: FREE FREE PALESTINE AGAINST OPPRESSION
Moroccan diaspora when Western Sahara: YES WESTERN SAHARA IS OURS LONG LIVE MOROCCON KINGDOM 🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦
Well dont you know that the Almoravid sultanate-
Like, even party members of ours are like this
I keep lying to myself that “one day we’ll have a discussion about AI on Lemmygrad that is not entirely bad faith” and call it revolutionary optimism. 🫠

Talking to people who think in individualism feels like different languages at times, stuck talking past each other. Or at least, I think that may be the cause. It can go a little something like:
Me: something something systemic issues
Them: okay, but like, you have to do what you can with what you have
Me: I know, I understand you have to work with the circumstances in front of you, I’m just saying, systemic issues though
Them: but you have to do what you can with what you have
I don’t know if there’s anything I can say differently in this kind of situation to bridge the gap, or if it’s just a fundamental difference in worldview.
They might see it as complaining about something beyond your control, because the average liberal doesn’t even consider doing anything beyond voting or maybe protesting (although if you suggest organized action, they’d likely just claim that it’s unrealistic)
That’s a fair point, thanks for your thoughts on it. I have wondered if it’s in that realm of things, but this crystallizes it more I think. Like because they don’t see it as realistic to force the world to change (or are too fundamentally icked out by the idea of collective force), they fall back on changing themselves as the only solution to anything? (Well, changing themselves and maybe trying to influence a few people in their circle, but that’s about it.) That seems plausible for sure.
Wilders is claiming election fraud in The Netherlands bruh lmao
Dutch media is now trying to frame a party of which the number 2 is saying she was reading Mein Kampf and for excited to gas the Jews as a decent party for the government
Be that voice that will never stop talking about the possibility of a new world. A voice that convinces people that socialism is the solution. A voice that sparks the desire for a better and fair world.

Comrade Costanza
I hope you all have a nice week :D
You too!
You too Oppo!
You too Oppo!
Have a nice week!

Sometimes I am reminded that the city I live in is 55% migrants (from everywhere around the world) and I’m amazed at the diversity. Over 180 nationalities in this city.

As if the US moves here in Latin America has not been worrying enough, the police of Rio de Janeiro just committed the biggest massacre the state of RJ has ever had, there’s more than
160120 dead (sorry got the numbers wrong), and only 4 cops died. The governor of RJ is saying that the operation was a success, even tho they did not even get the person they invaded the favela for. From January to September of this year alone, the RJ police has killed more than 510 people.Shit’s getting bleaker.
Edit: There are also reports of some of the dead being decapitated.
I was reading about the favela raids yesterday and physically cringed. I’m so sorry and I hope you are able to be reasonably safe.
Thanks comrade, reading and hearing about it has been horrifying. I’m not from Rio so I don’t have to worry about any of that, but I feel for those living in direct line of sight of the police.
You are welcome. Please take precautions, as I imagine the circle to be ever expanding.
That’s fucking awful, comrade. Stay safe.
Thanks comrade! I’m not from Rio and am fortunate enough to live in a place where I don’t have to worry about the police, but seeing the reporting of the amount of people dead has been daunting.
It’s good that you’re safe! Solidarity with the people of Rio, that’s horrifying.
I assume the police is political aligned with Bolsonaro?
Not necessarily. The military police and these death squads go back to the US coup in '64. They were aligned with Bolsonaro recently, but they are going to align themselves with any right wing government. Bolsonaro is not all that relevant anymore. He’s under house arrest for now, and he’s gonna be sent to jail soon. He’s been convicted already.
The vast majority is definitely very reactionary. I can’t say if they are still aligned with Bolsonaro since he has been losing popularity a lot for some time now, specially because of how he handled the pandemic. But I would bet they are Bolsonaristas, even tho some of them might not like Bolsonaro himself anymore.
I know there is a very, very small minority of leftists in the military police force, but they have to keep their mouths shut not to be extremely harassed, fired or worse.
