Obviously delete this if against the rules for being too cool.

The average person would do more Cool Stuff if they didn’t think they would be caught. Asking for a friend of course.

Can my friend put grease on a disposable glove and smother cameras and sensors then dispose the glove at their home or otherwise away from the site of coolness?

A net/mesh around one of the wheels that’s dropped on it while passing by?

Let’s assume they would have their phone on them as well. Would a VPN protect them? Or just leave at home / farraday cage bag?

Bonus points if the person could be carrying around the materials and a mask/sunglasses to lessen facial ID etc. and wouldn’t have to do much more than turn on a vpn to obfuscate things the spy in their pocket could narc on. The less friction the better

i would think some short term gps intereference and laser to blind are most spatially/visually removed or a drone dropping a blanket. phone with vpn is still located by cell towers in its exact position with its exact account, cmon.

spray paint is the cheapest thing, but i dunno how they 360 sensors are constructed

My friend loves the laser idea. Nearly certain there are powerful lasers that are “illegal” that could damage sensors and cameras that could be ordered from aliexpress or otherwise easily obtained.

Are those only illegal when shone at an aircraft/helicopter? Someones face/eyes? I would assume sensors too. But could a cop see you holding one and that would be considered a crime?

Any guides on powerful lasers and the law and safety for the user would be cool. I’ll look some up (for my friend) but any suggestions welcome.

they are flat illegal (if not looked at by dragnet), and your friend may bother to get them somewhat anonymously (or very temporally separated before action, a year or more). the best thing to get is laser safety goggles for appropriate wavelength. truly powerful lasers even on indirect reflection (from say white wall) are dangerous

purely hypothetically ir (800nm+) lasers are extremely suited for this, but they would require some night vision thingy to see the damn thing itself, so that would pile up expenses and suspicious purchases.

(the inconspicuous way is bluray players laser, especially old ones, but require some soldering and instructions following)
