I’m just glad she looks like she’s having a good time. Monster romance is pretty popular these days so we can have a little angel romance, as a treat.
Actually I do like that she’s given a halo, since that’s use in ye olde timef to show the person is holy, so that does seem a bit subversive. And all the dark space in the painting really makes the subjects pop - and that’s not the only thing that’s popping, hey-o!

It’s all fun and games until one of them shows up to investigate the old cathedral in the ruins of Tristram because they saw a falling star crash there.
At churches I’ve been to, they reject that angels and humans could procreate, but the Bible mentions something about sons of good having children with daughters of men or something like that. But even for devout Christians that bit is somewhat mythical/legendary/symbolic.

It’s Blasphemia by Heresy. I’m not sure if they named the album after it or maybe they chose the name and this piece was one of the first Google Image search results. Anyway, scrolling his website is a great way to discover new music, as long as you skip all the hatebreed album covers.
