Casual ableism (not intending to call anybody out) especially when people make fun of or discriminate against psychotic people. I am a psychotic peep, so I guess it’s a classic “Not my problem until it affects me” situation, but y’know. And I do care about other issues, but this is surprisingly prevalent on the internet and really bugs me.

Parents won’t pay for them, disability prevents me from working more regularly, still working on getting disability benefits, uncertain if benefits will be enough, US trying to make laws preventing even adults from getting gender affirming care. Also fear of needles. Also, I think I’ve heard some of my mental illnesses (am quite neurospicy) make it harder to get on hormones, but I haven’t tried too much yet. Who do I talk to about this? I currently see a therapist and a psych med provider, do I talk to one of them? I’m trying to go see a… “regular” doctor(?) so if I need to talk to them, I can.

I do have eczema in places. Usually not on my chest, but it sometimes moves around, so that could make sense.

At churches I’ve been to, they reject that angels and humans could procreate, but the Bible mentions something about sons of good having children with daughters of men or something like that. But even for devout Christians that bit is somewhat mythical/legendary/symbolic.

They seem to indicate, at least in the first book, that after Paul entered the sietch, the jihad was unavoidable. Even if Paul died, the Fremen would carry it out in his name. Leto II says something about how a prophet is locked into their own prophecy unless they create their death contrary to it. He mentions John the Baptist apparently engineering his own beheading to escape his vision. Supposedly this death need not be real, as Paul allowed himself to be abandoned in the desert to die, allowing Muad’Dib to die, and the Preacher to arise. He was no longer The Messiah, but this fell to Leto II, but even he “died” to the tigers and was reborn as a worm.
