Captain America stands for all the good things from US propaganda, fine, but he also stands for the idea that the US is actually unique in wanting those things, the closest to achieving them, a flawed but ultimately good nation, which is a load of horse shit. A Captain America who actually fights for a nation where every man, woman, and child is equal is a Captain America who promptly gets killed by his country.

There’s a comic where Captain America doesn’t get frozen after WWII and they send him to fight in more wars

      He eventually joins the Vietcong

I would think he would probably have joined up to fight for the DPRK, but Vietnam is the war we’re culturally capable of admitting we’re wrong about

The guy who plays the current Captain America said something like that in an interview once, like he’s now grown as a hero who encompasses more than just America, basically implying that he would fight for more than just America, and the principles he stands for are represented and valued by more than just America, and he got dog-piled by criticism. US American chuds don’t want to hear it lol.

That’s why the “some of the founding fathers actually wanted to end slavery” rhetoric always gets me, they were clearly just as bloodthirsty and hateful as zionists and any examples otherwise were likely just pandering bullshit.

In at least some fairness, many of them thought slavery was an ultimately doomed institution. And they might even have been right, at the time.

Then Eli Whitney invented the cotton gin in 1793.

The problem is that the Amerikkkan narrative requires seeing the “Founding Fathers” as a singular building block of the country rather than as individuals, so we get these broken logics of “if we find some good in one of them then it applies to the whole.” It’s sort of a mirror version of the logic behind the “constitutional originalism” law argument.

Oh, I’d say it’s much worse than that. I guarantee a significant chunk of grown-ass USian adults still believe stuff like George Washington never told a lie. You’d be hard pressed to find a USian that knows actual US history vs the cradle to grave mythological slop that’s poured down their throats.

He’s not wrong if by “the dream” he means “whatever narrative is used to motivate the masses”. The US’s genocide is distant enough that they can pretend to have higher ideals, and people like Peeto will sometimes believe it. That’s simply not feasible while the genocide is ongoing.

Evidence from looking at anything “Israeli” “liberals” say sadly indicates otherwise. “The dream” is alive in the minds of the delusional.

Do you see much of that? As far as I can tell there are only about a dozen “Israeli” “liberals” remaining, and their liberalism is like “keep doing genocide but in a way that doesn’t look so bad. And also allow gay marriage”.

Far from an expert but that’s my impression

It’s more than a dozen, but your impression is mostly correct. “Israeli” “liberalism” is a dying ideology. They’re a shrinking minority, steadily turning into open fascists as far as I can tell. They’ll continue to exist for a while yet, though, because the idea of an “Israeli dream” is important to “Israel’s” propaganda and self-image.

I am not going to sing the praises of the US, but I think its true that the Untied SSnaKKMeSS of Imperialism does at least have principles to which it can pretend. The US state has never actually cared about those principles, but they exist in the sense that they can be used a propaganda tools and they are written on stuff.

Israel doesn’t even have that. It was always a naked grab for power and land.

This isn’t true, “Israel” did the same thing. “We made the desert bloom” is not different from “we tamed the wilderness”. It’s just that the mask slips when you’re actively and obviously doing genocide.
