I’d rather have Mohammed Atta as a copilot than Microsoft’s insufferable tool.
banger tweet lmao
but if you need a WYSIWYG word processor just use LibreOffice smh
Also, since I can’t be the only one who rarely touches a Mac: Pages is Apple’s word processor and apparently also has “Apple Intelligence” LLM bullshit, although I have no idea how intrusive it is compared to Word.
I just have a very obsolete 2016 MacBook pro. Got it refurbished for cheap. No new features for me, ever.
Do any of these execs realize that the only people who like AI are themselves and the Bazinga-est of Bazinga brains?
There are great masses of the public who are very indifferent to it, it will be forced into their lives and they’ll accept the new normal, and will get so used to it that they will be unable to imagine it ever going away.
this ^ year after year, decade after decade, the development and adoption of new features in computer technology have been driven not by user demand, but by the career aspirations of big tech middle managers and overpaid marketing slobs. they’ve made the personal computer a nightmare machine for the average person, but without a solid footing in a liberatory computing paradigm, they have no means to do otherwise.
Got me to switch to yandex/ddg from google. Google is literally unusable imo - it requires so many operators selected via trial and error to produce a useful technical result (or maybe I’m dogshit at searching lmao)
Mo Atta at least knew how to fly a plane. It’s just his motives were bad. Nothing 3 years at Dorley couldn’t fix.
I don’t get it - I use Word for work and the first thing I after the update was disable any CoPilot options, now it’s basically just like normal
dunno, my copy of word doesn’t update, i just think it’s on the level of “i’ll serve crack before this country”
