The projects started in the 2000s but most didn’t start building until the 2010s when the shift away from China happened. I’m sure there’s dozens of articles online, it was fair big ongoing British business / infrastructure news for a number of years.

fossil fuel industry spent decades pouring a bunch of money into “environmental” opposition to nuclear power and I’m sure they consider it well-spent
