They actually got that many people to write someone’s name down and not fill in a bubble or whatever? I always figured that shit was just about impossible to do
It helped that the former mayor gave out stamps with his name on them so people could just stamp his name on the ballot as a write-in. He also worked with a member of a far-right group, the police union, libertarians, and republican officials.
