      I hope they do, only 64,000 people voted in Buffalo, hated dems won’t win through a write-in campaign in a city as massive and diverse as New York, Zohran’s 50,000 strong door knocking army would obliterate them

      I’m not familiar with this one, but I was reading about it just now and holy shit how did they even do that? Does write in not mean what I think it means? They actually got that many people to write someone’s name down and not fill in a bubble or whatever? I always figured that shit was just about impossible to do

        It helped that the former mayor gave out stamps with his name on them so people could just stamp his name on the ballot as a write-in. He also worked with a member of a far-right group, the police union, libertarians, and republican officials.
