the weirdest part of the UK is that it’s seemingly the most dysfunctional country currently. The second their empire stopped sending them tribute, their country began a slow collapse, which we’re now seeing accelerate. I genuinely struggle to think of a worse example of how to run a country, and it’s seemingly done for no reason. The people who are destroying the country aren’t even making out like bandits, like we saw in Russia after the murder of the Soviet Union, but is done entirely for ideological reasons. And when the ideology runs into the simple material fact that their thinking is plainly wrong, they just double down and do more of the same. It’s maddening!
