I’m not doubting you, just a bit confused. Can you expand on what you mean when you say the left (presumably in Germany) are “simping the USA”? I ask specifically because as dumb as it sounds, I, an American, love keeping up with German leftist politics and all the crazy drama that surrounds it
I was VERY skeptical of watching this video when it was suggested to me, is it worth watching bc I absolutely will if it’s even slightly more based than expected. I was anticipating stuff like “actually he didn’t give a shit about communism, he was a sTaLiniSt” but lmk if it’s actually cool. After reading Anarchism or Socialism, I have ZERO patience for anyone disrespecting Stalin.
So, my thoughts on him are that he may not be a GOOD person, but he is absolutely without a doubt, a very smart person who is very knowledgeable on US foreign policy and the contradictions that come about from it. I used to watch Democracy Now a lot a few years ago (I still like them, my schedule sorta changed so I can’t watch it as regularly) and he would frequently give great interviews, talking about the Nord Stream attack that was orchestrated by the US, talking about the Euromaidan and the Alley of Angels. Sachs is many things, but he certainly isn’t dumb and he isn’t easily influenced/manipulated. Any recent interview or talks with Sachs are a goldmine for anyone skeptical of US foreign policy goals.

I actually saw the Irish President in person on my short 1 week visit to Ireland. What are the chances lmfao I was taking the train from airport to Dublin and so did he. I took a video of him I said hello to him. It was really really cool. He was also apparently a Poet and at a certain place in Dublin they have a statue garden with one of his poems. Whoops its sideways
