Believe me, I apply for all the stuff, unless it’s like, 10 more years of experience than what I have.
I don’t get angry when I get an auto rejection email, then I re read the description and think “Ah, OK, it makes sense that I got auto rejected there”, which happens often.
I’ve had an idea of, when I see an auto reject email of something I’m well qualified for, to email them to let them know their ATS is broken to manipulate them into giving me feedback, similar to that tip of getting help from reddit by making an alt account and giving an intentionally wrong answer so they feel the need to correct them.
I’m not actually doing nothing, I am studying for certs, and I’m actually getting them, and can prove it by the dates I received them, but apparently, that’s not enough…
Not well. Feel really lead on. Like, the recruiter called me on Friday to give me an update, there was just me and one other person, told me that I was the first choice of the first people I interviewed, made it sound like it was in the bag. They just needed to interview that other person. But then, pretty much the only reason was they picked the other person was more years of experience. Why did they waste my time like that if they were just going to pick based on years of experience?
10 years after that happens, EVERYONE will be against it.
They should just have everyone sign the pledge, to make this claim of discrimination even more absurd.

I’ve got this from external recruiters as well. You know, the people who usually get paid commission by finding people to hire? You’d think they’d exaggerate a candidate’s skills, not nitpick like that.

I went through a whole-ass final round interview last week. Every step, they clearly all really liked me, even said they thought I was a good fit. I was two of the interviwers’ #1 pick. But then they just rejectred me today because someone else had more years of experience. Why did they waste my time going through that process if they were just going to pick someone with more years of experience?
We need to actually admit that laying off and terminating employees is an act of violence.
