Hello everyone~ The megathread is very eepy this week so I am being very quiet and not posting a whole essay as that might disturb their rest. The megathread does a lot of work for us after all, so they deserve to rest a little. Our regularly scheduled effortposts will continue next week.

Nonetheless, I hope that you (yes you!) are doing well, whenever it may be that you happen to be dropping in. I wish you all the best~

I have a purse which is just kinda meh, which has been fine, but its not that large so its annoying as I always have slightly more stuff than can fit in the purse

Would getting a large purse be weird? IDK why I am trending towards it being like not feminine or some shit, maybe its just brainworms I need to prune Also I guess same thing about a backpack, but with an added downside of being less convenient

No, its not weird, lots of women have large purses. Its not “unfeminine”. I will say, I think young women tend to carry backpacks (usually smallish ones) more then big purses. At least where I’m from.

There is nothing un feminine about a big purse? Gotta be honest, not even sure where you could’ve heard that or where that could’ve come from. People are definitely weird about backpack people (like on twitter or whatever there’s people who mock adults not in school who were backpacks, I do cause I take my clothes and a spare change of scrubs to work). But Ive never heard someone being… clocky? for having a big purse.

Its the weirdest hill to die on and I can only assume its done by joyless whimseyless people lol. Except backpacks are just so fuckin practical, like I cant keep an extra set of scrubs and socks and home clothes in a purse… or my stethoscope and flashlight and on and on.

I’m a backpack person and I love mine! It’s functionally a hiking bag, but I’ve decorated it with some pins and keychains. And I’ve set it up such that I can take it on a day hike if I want, but it also just functions well in all sorts of other situations.
