I don’t expect fascists to have any sense of foresight or rationality, but the fact they think this will lead to good things happening personally to them instead of catastrophic consequences for all parties is baffling

Like, at least I can understand when libs and conservatives salivate over bombing foreign nations- they firmly believe they would be completely insulated from the blowback of such actions. But doing so to their own cities, within their own borders? Absolute foolishness to think that won’t sink the country into total chaos

Well they’re convinced the other side are utter paper tigers who will cower and whimper and die. When it comes to reactionaries thinking this of liberal Democrat voter types it’s not unfounded given how the Democratic party is constantly lying down, surrendering, and generally amenable to being quickly cowed into apologizing for questioning the way reactionaries think and even adopting their views. When it comes to liberals thinking this of reactionaries there is something to be said of the fact that they are mostly just playing rebel and most of them would weep at losing cable TV or enduring any other serious hardship but the very fact they’re so armed and some amount of them would harden up into violently retributive militia types should give liberals pause.

But in either case they believe the military would be on their particular side and that small arms would be no matched for the combined excess of America’s various forces. It’s just a direct manifestation of a desire to turn the brutalizing punishment dealing state on their own enemies and tormentors internally. No different really than wanting to pass laws outlawing abortion or access to sex toys or DEI is seen as owning the other side and using the state to inflict pain on them while you chortle safely.

That and Americans haven’t know actual strife. They can’t conceive of the war coming to their front door, they believe due to all the foreign wars that it’ll be like that, something they just watch on TV happening elsewhere.

But even beyond the idea that there’ll be no successful resistance against something like this, a major American city being bombed and blown up would be pretty bad for the US economy, and in turn, would harm the CHUDs financially, but they don’t seem to understand that.

This is kinda like the Israeli comedy videos that I had the misfortune of seeing recently where all the “jokes” were just the comedians stating their views. There is no punchline, just someone on stage saying “I love watching Palestinians get hit with missiles” to laughter from the crowd. It’s the same vibe where they’re barely making jokes, they’re just stating how much they want other people to suffer because that’s what they find funny

whenever i see chuds say chapo or hasan is cringe, i’m like, sure sometimes their humor falls flat, or they say something that exposes them as being a bit out of touch with average joes, but i don’t see how they’re cringe in any typical sense? but i think i understand what they mean now from looking at this picture

“Cringe” has always meant “Caring about something I personally don’t like/Caring too much about something.” It’s just jaded edgy highschooler shit, which is itself unironically the cringiest a person can be.
